Accounting For Businesses: Use Dividends Rather Than Bonus In Order To Help Save Personal Tax
In the absence of salaries, there is going to be no National Insurance to pay. Consequently the real question is why then pay a salary at all? Why not simply pay it all out as dividend and steer clear of all the National Insurance trap altogether? Basically the answer is in what we receive by paying NI. Our National Insurance Contribution has an effect on some of our entitlement to state benefits such as retirement pensions, statutory sick pay, statutory maternity pay, , and so forth.
