The women, one of whom is pregnant with her fifth child, were chosen after submitting essays and their worst photos to the Miss Universe Organization, NBC-TV and Farouk Systems in Houston, which sponsored the nationwide makeover contest. Every year, Fadil and Luiz collaborate on a photo shoot of the Miss USA contestants, including 2010's "Waking Up in Vegas," which stirred controversy when contestants posed in lingerie. In addition to doing the makeup for the three makeup candidates at the finals of the Miss USA Pageant, Kabani will do the makeup for the judges and the celebrity talent, he said. On a portrait that's displayed at the salon alongside Miss USA and Miss Universe winners whom Luiz has styled, Booker wrote, "Albert & Amin, I cannot thank you guys for everything you've done for me!
