Shaping Team Leadership Through Neuroscience
Leadership is largely about getting the best out of your people and harnessing their diverse talents so that they are pulling in the desired direction for the team and the organisation. Leaders of teams may have to deal daily with designing creative solutions to problems; framing the problem in such a way that it gets the best out of team members is challenging, and understanding the nature of human behavior and responses through the findings of neuroscience can help with this. The persuasive power of a leader counts for a great deal and, generally speaking, it will be more effective through a more complete understanding of the way team members will react to requests and directions.
